The Bible: The Bible is the Word of God, revealed by Him directly to men, who were moved to write the very words that they did. The Scriptures are the only rule of faith and practice.

God: There is only one true, living and eternal God. We believe that God has from eternity existed as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal and perfectly united in nature and glory.

The Fall of Man and Original Sin: God created mankind upright and holy, in His image. The first people, Adam and Eve, disobeyed His command, and in consequence the image of God in them was marred. Because of this all men are born into the world sinners, unable and unwilling to seek God or love Him, yet are responsible for their sin and unbelief.

God’s Plan of Salvation: God in His everlasting and unchangeable love, before the foundation of the world, chose a certain number of sinners to salvation. This salvation was accomplished by Jesus Christ dying in their place. God will call these elect by grace in time and they cannot be lost because God keeps them from falling by His power.

Jesus Christ the Only Saviour: Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, is the only Saviour of sinners, fully man and fully God. He effected this salvation by his perfect life and by His death on the cross, suffering the wrath of God in the place of His people. Jesus Christ literally and bodily rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He freely gives new life to all those who repent of their sins and trust in Him.

Justification by Faith Alone: Men and women, boys and girls are counted righteous before God, not for their own good deeds, but because of Jesus Christ’s righteousness, which is counted theirs when they believe on Him. This faith is not natural, it is given by God through the work of the Holy Spirit.

The Resurrection and the Judgement: At the end of time, when Jesus Christ returns, all mankind will be raised from the dead and those who have not trusted in Christ will be judged according to their works. Those for whom Christ died will live with Him for ever, while the rest, because of their sins, will be punished for ever.

Church Practice: We observe the ordinances of Believers Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which is held once a month for members of the church. Any visitors wishing to participate at the Lord’s Supper should speak to the Pastor or Deacons first. The church uses the Authorised (King James) version of the Bible and sings from Gadsby's Hymns, Hymns for Worship and the Metric Psalter.
